Abstract

The aim of this course is to train trainers in the delivery of autism and autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) training regarding people with learning disabilities.  Emphasis will be placed upon how to devise training courses relating to this area and how to deliver good quality coherent information to selected target audiences.  Thorough guidance and exploration will be given in autism and autistic spectrum disorder issues in how they affect people with learning disabilities.  The course will aim to address complex aspects of autism and autistic spectrum disorders in reviewing how to communicate complex information in a simple coherent manner.  Course participants will familiarise themselves with best practice issues pertinent to this field.
