Understanding & Working with Emerging Personality Disorders in Young People - 1 Day - T0192g

Abstract

The overall aim of this course is to introduce course participants with the phenomenon of emerging personality disorders. Course participants will begin to appreciate the fundamental aspects of emerging personality disorders and the onset of problems associated with this when working with young people.  This course will combine this disorder with direct emphasis upon working with young people in residential care settings.  A range of aspects will be covered over the day to highlight the difficulties of working with an individual with an emerging personality disorder and how to cope with a highly complex area of work.  Both the positives and negatives of the work will be addressed in conjunction with best practice issues.
