Abstract

The aim of the course is familiarise course participants with the Police & Criminal Evidence Act and the implications that this has in terms of direct practice for managers.  Course participants will be given an awareness of the role required workers in order to fulfil the requirements of an appropriate adult in police investigations.  The course is designed to feed directly in to best practice issues within the context of the role required.  A basic awareness will be given in to the legislation pertaining to this Act.  Emphasis of this training will directly how the management role will support the worker role in this work.
