Bereavement & Loss Training - 1 Day - T0121QU

Abstract

The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore issues relating to bereavement, grief and loss and to analyse theory in relation to this area.  Individuals will learn to understand the concepts of professional and personal mourning, and how to support and aid those individuals who endure bereavement and loss.  Emphasis will be placed upon the concept of vulnerable individuals and the issues inherent when working within this client group. Course participants will learn to support the recently bereaved and learn to work will loss in relation to issues such as age, illness and disability.  Issues pertaining to terminality will also be addressed.  Course participants will undertake a test at the end of the course.
