Addictions And Mental Health Training - 3 Days - T0145p

Abstract

The aim of this course is to analyse the concept of what is meant by mental health and mental health service provision with reference to working with addictive behaviours.  Course participants will familiarise themselves with models of care practice within the mental health field and problems associated with caring for those with mental health problems.  A full review in to the range of mental illness will be given in terms of their nature, management and treatment.  Course participants will also become familiar with the implications of the Mental Health Act legislation.
