Conducting Risk Assessments In Child Protection Training - 3 Days - T0124h

Abstract

The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore issues relating to components of risk and its assessment when working within children’s services.  Participants will learn what is understood by: risk, risk assessment and risk management when working with children, young people and families.  The difficulty of balancing the management of risks and the rights of the individual will be of paramount concern throughout the training. Course participants will learn to use a range of risk assessment tools that can be used within the workplace setting.  The course has been devised to inform procedural practice.
