Cognitive Behavioural Therapy In Action: Using Motivational Interviewing In Practice Training - Two Days - T0210d
Abstract
The aim of the course is give course participants a range of cognitive and behavioural techniques that can be used directly in the workplace when working therapeutically with clients. The course will look at the use of motivational interviewing in its own right in terms of the implementation in practice. The focus of the course will address issues pertinent to working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems, (specifically around Dual Diagnosis). Participants will be given guidance in applying the skills in the context of motivational interviewing terms. Participants will also learn to recognise the difference between helping and therapeutic support, consequently to acknowledge when to refer to other agencies for help and assistance.
