Understanding and Working with Offending Behaviours Within the MAPPA Process Training - One Day - T0281

Abstract

The aim of this one-day course is to familiarise police officers with the concept of offending behaviour and explore the dynamics of this phenomenon within the context of investigating criminal activity under the MAPPA process when monitoring sex offenders.  A range of areas will be explored in order to address this complex area.  Emphasis will be placed upon how to understand and work with offending behaviours from a psychological viewpoint that will aid the MAPPA process.  Police officers will become familiar in working with offending behaviour cycles and to work effectively in interviewing monitored offenders.  Constant adherence to good practice working will be maintained throughout the training day.
