Self-Harm And Suicide: Working With Children and Young People Training - One Day - T0131c

Abstract

The aim of this course is to enable course participants to explore issues relating to self-harm and suicide when supporting children and young people.  Individuals will learn how to respond to those people who choose to self-harm and have thoughts pertaining to suicidal ideation.  Ways of working with this client group will be explored at length in order to give workers more confidence in their work.  The rationale surrounding self-harming behaviour and suicide will be explored throughout the day.
