Understanding & Working With Dementia: Implementing Advocacy - T0187c - 1 Day

Abstract

The aim of the course is to familiarize participants with concepts relating to Dementia and how this impacts upon the person and how this affects those around them.  The course will give a thorough review of understanding the rudiments of Dementia and how the role of advocacy can work alongside those individuals affected.  The complexity of this phenomenon will be explored in order to enable advocates to work in a more insightful manner in order to promote best practice in the workplace.  Causational and treatment factors will be explored at length in order to inform current working practice.
