Abstract
The aim of the course is for participants to familiarise themselves with differing work settings comprised within child protection services and adult services in their understanding of the hidden harm agenda and how best to work together. The course will focus on the joint working principle in how to work effectively across service provision. The pitfalls will be explored to highlight departures of practice where joint working has failed. Emphasis will be placed on understanding child protection from the hidden harm agenda pertaining to drug and alcohol usage. Practitioners will become fully aware of best practice issues pertaining to joint working in this field.
