Sexuality and Learning Disabilities: working Directly With Clients - Three Days - T0115f

Abstract

The aim of this course is to skill practitioners in the delivery of sexuality and sexual health information directly to people with learning disabilities.  Emphasis will be placed upon how to work effectively with clients relating to this area and how to deliver good quality coherent information to the learning disability client group.  Thorough guidance and exploration will be given in sexual health issues in how they affect people with learning disabilities and how this information can be delivered in a manner conducive to the understanding of people with learning disabilities.  Course participants will familiarise themselves with best practice issues pertinent to this field in working with both individuals and conducting group work.
