HIV, AIDS and Hepatitis Awareness Training - Half Day - T0001QU

Abstract

The aim of this course is to give staff a clear picture of the issues pertaining to HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis.  The course will focus upon supplying individuals with correct information pertaining to HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis in an attempt to dispel myths surrounding this phenomenon in order that they manage these aspects in the workplace in a more effective manner.  Staff will familiarise themselves with the problems that are faced by people diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis.  You will begin to understand your role as a helper in effective treatment management when dealing with people who have an HIV+, AIDS or Hepatitis diagnosis.  The awareness training will adopt a psychosocial approach, as opposed to a bio-medical model, with which one can learn. Course participants will undertake a test at the end of the course.
