Working with Violence and Aggression Within Learning Disability Services - Two Days - T0133aQU
Abstract
The aim of this course is to give staff thorough guidance in dealing with violence and aggression within learning disability workplace settings. Staff will be given detailed advice and support in ways to deal with aggressive outbursts that individuals will come across in their workplace setting. Theory will be explored as well as looking at ways of reducing aggression displayed by clients. Individuals will learn thorough use of de-escalation techniques and anger management when working with their client grouping. The legal issues inherent within this work will also be addressed. Course participants will undertake a test at the end of the course.
