Understanding and working With Epilepsy In PeopleWith Learning Disabilities - Two Days - T0218

Abstract

The aim of the course is familiarise course participants with the issues inherent in supporting people with learning disabilities and epilepsy. The concept of the illness will be explored at length to give staff a thorough understanding of what epilepsy can do to the person who is affected by it. Good practice issues will be a constantly adhered to throughout the training. A wide range of issues will be explored in order to dispel myths surrounding this illness and how to work in a supporting manner with people with learning disabilities.
