Managing Intrusive Thinking When Working With Parents Training (1 Day) – T0381a
Abstract
The overall aim of this course is to introduce course participants to the concept of intrusive thinking with parents with mental health issues and how best to work with this issue. Course participants will begin to appreciate the fundamental aspects of intrusive thinking and the onset of problems associated with this when working with parents. This course will combine a range of interventions in working directly with people with intrusive thinking with mental health problems. A range of aspects will be covered over the session to highlight the difficulties of working with an individual who has intrusive thinking and how to cope with this highly complex area of work. Both the positives and negatives of the work will be addressed in conjunction with best practice issues.
