Abstract
The overall aim of this course is to introduce course participants to the concept of fully understanding fabricated and induced illness with people that you work with. Course participants will begin to appreciate the fundamental aspects of this illness and the onset of problems associated with this. This course will combine a range of interventions in working directly with people with mental health problems who have issues specific to fabricated and induced illness. A range of aspects will be covered over the session to highlight the difficulties of working with an individual with fabricated and induced illness and how to cope with this highly complex area of work. Both the positives and negatives of the work will be addressed in conjunction with best practice issues.
