Human Rights & Disability Discrimination Act Training - Half Day - T0161a
Abstract
The aim of the awareness training is give course participants a working knowledge of the Human Rights Act (1998) and Disability Discrimination Act (1995). Course participants will familiarise themselves with the ascendance of the Acts in terms of why and how these documents came about. The course will inform current working practice and how this will affect current practice across adult services provision. Participants will become familiar with the legal aspects inherent with the Acts and how these can be adapted into fieldwork practice. A range of dilemmas will be addressed in order that course participants can fully appreciate the contributionary factors pertaining to this Act.
