Working With Autism: Awareness Level Training - 1 Day - T0201l

Abstract

The aim of the course is to familiarise course participants with the concept of Autism, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Aspergers Syndrome. A full analysis of these disorders will take place in order to address the range of issues that these disorders bring up for carers within a managed residential setting. Thorough analysis of the issues will be addressed in order to create insightful practice in dealing more effectively with people who have Autism, Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Aspergers where they have experienced significant changes in their lives. The varying degrees of autism will be explored in order to ascertain communication links with individuals and how best to work with people within residential type settings. There will be constant adherence to good practice issues throughout the training.
