Understanding And Conducting Positive Risk Taking Within Care Settings - 2 Days - T0358
Abstract
The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore issues relating to components of positive risk taking and its assessment when working with people with PMLD within care settings. Participants will learn what is understood by: risk, positive risk assessment and risk management when working within this setting. The difficulty of balancing the management of risks and the rights of the individual will be of paramount concern throughout the training. Elements of risk will be addressed at all levels: risk to staff, risk to users of services and risk to the self. The course has been devised to inform procedural practice and support compliance issues.
