Psychological Applications in Working with Families Training - 3 Days - T0210zc
Abstract
The aim of the course is to give course participants an overview of the application of psychosocial interventions when working with families using motivational interviewing, solution focused practice and cognitive behavioural interventions. The course will outline the application of these three interventions when working with families where hidden harm issues and difficult to engage family functioning is a feature. Participants will learn how to apply these principles when working with this topic area. Course participants will learn how to use a safe model of practice in a potentially hazardous area of work. Best practice issues will be addressed throughout the training.
