Motivational Enhancement Therapy Awareness Training For Support Worker Role Staff - 1 Day - T0132v1

Abstract

The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore issues relating to the concepts of motivational enhancement therapy. Course participants will be given thorough grounding in utilising this methodological framework within the workplace setting. The focus of the course will address issues pertinent to working with people with alcohol and/or drug problems, (specifically around Dual Diagnosis) within a prison environment. Participants will be given an overview of this approach and look at how to structure sessions accordingly. The course is aimed at informing best practice.
