Supporting Parenting: A Formula For Practice To Work With Substance Misuse Issues - 5 Days - T0267l

Abstract

The aim of this course is to give an overview of how to undertake supporting parents who misuse substance that fulfill the requirements of both children in need and child protection issues. Practitioners will become familiar with an array of parenting areas and how to translate these to direct practice when working with parents who misuse substance looking at the impact this can have on parenting. Incorporated into this will be how to assess parenting as a result of interventions implemented in support. Practitioners will be briefed on what is required to make sure that parenting is to a ‘good enough’ standard. Best practice methodology will be adopted throughout the training.
