Motivational Interviewing: Early Interventions Practice Training - 2 Days - T0132ze

Abstract

The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore issues relating to the concepts of motivational interviewing and how this can assist with early interventions when working with families. Course participants will be given thorough grounding in utilising this methodological framework within the workplace setting. The focus of the course will address issues pertinent to working with children and families early intervention work. Participants will be given guidance in applying counselling skills in the context of motivational interviewing terms. Participants will also learn to recognise the difference between helping and therapeutic support and how this can be an effective early intervention tool.
