Abstract

The aim of this training course is cover a wide array of issues in the field of dual diagnosis and parenting.  The course will focus upon the impacts of: drug usage and parenting, mental health and parenting, and dual diagnosis and parenting.  A thorough overview will be given in each of these areas in terms of how each impact upon the child.  Emphasis will be placed upon how each of these aspects impacts upon the parenting of children.  Practitioners will become familiar in approaches in how to work effectively with these very difficult aspects.
