Motivational Interviewing Within Groupwork Training: Implications for SEN Reforms - 1 Day - T0132z

Abstract

The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore issues relating to the concepts of motivational interviewing and to review how best this can be used to facilitate discussion pertaining to the SEN reforms. Course participants will be given thorough grounding in utilising this methodological framework within the workplace setting when undertaking group work sessions in order to obtain optimum results in discussions pertaining to the SEN reforms that will be beneficial to the development of EHC plans. Participants will be given guidance in applying motivational interviewing skills in the context of obtaining the best results within a group situation setting. Best practice will be addressed throughout the training session.
