Psychosocial Interventions In Working With Clients With Mental Health Issues Training - 2 Days - T0284i
Abstract
The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore
issues relating to the concepts of therapeutic approaches in working with
mental ill health in getting people back to work. Course participants will be given thorough
grounding in utilising a methodological therapeutic framework within the
workplace setting specific to psychosocial interventions. The focus of the course will address issues
pertinent to working with people with mental health issues. Participants will be given guidance in
applying therapeutic skills in the context of motivational interviewing,
cognitive and behavioural therapy, ITEP and solution focused practice. Participants will also learn to recognise the
difference between helping and therapeutic support, consequently to acknowledge
when to refer to other agencies for help and assistance.
