Abstract

The aim of the course is to enable participants to have an awareness of the issues relating to bereavement, grief and loss in the area to end of life care. Individuals will learn to understand the concepts of professional and personal mourning when working with people affected by end of life care issues. Emphasis will be placed upon best practice and the issues inherent when working within this client group. Course participants will learn the basics of support around bereavement and loss issues from an end of life care perspective.
