Mental Capacity Act (2005) A Briefing For Medics - 1 Hour - T0226e

Abstract

The aim of the briefing is to give participants a working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (2005).  Participants will familiarise themselves with the ascendance of the Act in terms of why and how this document came about. They will be informed about current working practice and how this will affect practice across service provision. Participants will become familiar with the legal aspects inherent with the Act and how these can be adapted into fieldwork practice.
