Abstract

The aim of this course is to give staff a clear picture of the issues pertaining to HIV and AIDS. The course will focus upon supplying individuals with correct information pertaining to HIV and AIDS in an attempt to dispel myths surrounding this phenomenon in order that they manage these aspects in the workplace in a more effective manner and provide both pre and post-test counselling to clients. Staff will familiarise themselves with the problems that are faced by people diagnosed with HIV. You will begin to understand your role as a helper in effective treatment management when dealing with people who have an HIV+ diagnosis.
