Understanding & Working With Early Onset Dementia In Older People - 2 Days - T0187j

Abstract

The aim of the course is to familiarise participants with concepts relating to early onset Dementia in older people and how this impacts upon the person and how this affects those around them. There will be a thorough review of understanding the rudiments of Dementia in older people. The complexity of this phenomenon will be explored in order to enable carers to work in a more insightful manner in order to promote best practice in the workplace with the aim of maintaining people in their own homes with assisted living. Causational and treatment factors will be explored at length in order to inform current working practice.
