Abstract

The aim of the course is to give course participants an overview of the application of CBT in working with domestic abuse and substance misuse issues.  The course will outline the application of CBT when working with couples where domestic abuse and substance misuse is a feature of the relationship and how to apply these principles when working with this topic area.  Course participants will learn how to use a safe model of practice in a potentially hazardous area of work.  Best practice issues will be addressed throughout the training.
