Specialist Investigative Interviewing For The Child Witness Training - 5 Days - T0312a

Abstract

The course is aimed at police officers whose role requires them to plan, conduct and evaluate interviews with witnesses and victims under the age of 17 where there are aggravating features that indicate the requirement for specialist knowledge or skills relating to interviewing children.  The course is aimed at candidates who must be competent level one investigators (Professionalising Investigations Programme – PIP) and competent to interview victims and witnesses for serious and complex investigations.  The course will maintain best practice protocols throughout and promote an enhanced level of investigative practice that fulfils the requirements for child witnesses.
